Honor has prepared a Chinese version of the MagicPad 4 with an XNET Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and a 12.1-inch LCD display aimed at price optimization for the Chinese market.
According to reports, the Chinese edition will arrive with notable hardware changes compared to the global model designed to be price-conscious for domestic customers. Yet core features such as a high-capacity battery and a high-refresh-rate display are retained.
According to leaked specs, the Chinese version features a 12.1-inch 3K LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate. A distinctive feature is the option to choose a display with warm backlight or matte, which helps reduce eye strain. The tablet also supports the Magic-Pencil 4S.
The powerful XNET Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip
In processing, this model uses the XNET Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, paired with a substantial 10100 mAh battery. Additionally, to deliver rich audio, it includes a six-speaker system with Spatial Audio and offers an optional Bluetooth keyboard.
Compared with the international version, there are clear performance differences. The global model uses a larger 12.3-inch OLED 3K 165Hz display and is equipped with the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, delivering much higher processing power.
Battery and comparison
Nevertheless, both models share a 10100 mAh battery capacity. The global version has drawn attention for its ultra-thin 4.8mm body, and its performance in media and productivity workloads under the MagicOS platform.
Currently, pre-orders for the Chinese version of MagicPad 4 are live at the official Honor Mall, and early booking benefits are offered to buyers. While the final price and full specification list are not yet announced, the Chinese edition aims to balance price and performance to attract a broader user base. Despite processing differences, the tablet remains a capable, modern device for media consumption, note-taking, and light administrative tasks, and is expected to find a competitive position in the Chinese market.
